In Search of New Challenges

Its been hard to find the time and the energy to sit and create. I am sooooo tired at the end of the day that all I can do is be a couch potato until this week. I am glad to have found Simon Says Stamp and their product. I am thrill to have found their blog, their challenges and the prizes so here is my take on Wednesday Challenge.

The challenge was to use Kraft cardstock in the most creative way you could and although I have not created much in a long time I do love the end result on this card enjoy it!

I used Home Tweet Home stamp set from My Little Shoe Box. I loooove it. I also used VersaMark ink, Stazon jet black ink pad and Ranger Glossy Accents. Easy set of materials.

Check Simon Says Stamp and check their challenges and creations from participant.

Until next time!

Back to Basics III

Hello there everyone!

I am back with the same stamp!  This time the card has a bit of the girly look with the pink, the stitches and the flower paper.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Guys I am serious in zero creativity lately. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it is the end of the school year and I am just exhausted. I am glad I was able to at least put a few up using the stamp.

I can't wait to see what surprises Lil Bees Boutique's Kit is for next month!
Hugs to all!

Thanks a Bunch II

 Hello everybody,

I can't put this stamp down!!! It is very cute and although I am not feeling very creative lately I just want to create cards with this awesome stamp.

Yes, I am back to basics... look at this card. no ribbon no nothing. But I loooove it. I really do it is a simple card. what is killling me is the jar and how the sentiment doesn't really go with it. I just couldn't come up with a cool one... Ohh well, I still like it. Any suggestions on how to get the best of this stamp?

Thanks a Bunch - Back to Basics

Hello there everyone,

I have been a little frustrated. I have not being able to put together a card that I really love. I decided to publish it here.I find that sometimes it helps my creativity.

I have used Lil Bees' kit from last month to create this card. It wasn't easy it felt as if I was going back to basics, back to window cards and frames... but I needed it to get this out my system and carry on.

Just like the previous card I use the same canvas.

There is not a lot of space for writing on this card. hehehe

Take a "close" look at the various layers in this card. Can you see the jar, OMG and the 3D sticker? hehehe... It happend to everyone.
 Hugs!

Thanks Berry Much

Hey everybody!

My Spring Break is passing by fast... too fast :( I have some time today to whip this card together.  I used part of the kit from Lil Bees Boutique. Keep checking her blog out for the latest in techniques and amazing kits.

I used the lovely Dear Lizzy + American Craft Stamp from the Neapolitan collection. I used the Stampin Up Real Red ink pad and stamped twice to get the two fabulous colors on the jar.

I also used the Rich Red embossing powder from Ranger. Doesn't that look like real jelly? on the word "berry"? Looooove it. I also used their black version of it.

... and here is the whole card. I can't stop using the kraft cardstock. it is like a face of my crafting life where I can't stop using it as if there is no other background color that would work on any layout or card. This too shall pass in the mean time I will enjoy it.

 Hugs to all.

Lil Bees March Kit

Hello everyone!

Yes, Lil Bees kit for March is out and there are lovely colors on it. Check them out!

Have you ever done back stitching?I have done it on real embroidery but not often on cards let alone layouts. So here is my first stitched layout. I didn't learn this by myself. I have to admit I got the inspirations from so many other bloggers and scrapbookers. Here is a link to a back stitching tutorial.

There is the Sew Easy you can buy it from Lil Bee's Boutique if you wish to give this a try but sometimes you don't have on hand such a big image as the one I sew on my layout. So I traced it myself and I loooove the results here are the images.

I am loving the kits for this month. lovely colors and great quality products.

If you owned a sewing machine by all means use it for some cool stitches but I had fun creating this layout and stitching it by hand.

Are these colors cool or what?

I used every single bit of paper I could, as you can see. I am having a lot of fun with Lil Bees Boutiques' kits!

Thank You "Vintage"

Hello everyone!

I am feeling sort of rested in the last week and E went to bed early the other night and so I decided to get creative after putting a bit of order in my tiny little space.

This is what I have created: a thank you vintage card. I was thankful to somebody at work and got inspired by the action of this person.

Materials are still some of the October Afternoon paper pads I still have with me... these are actually leftovers from another card.

I used nothing else but paper, glue, dimensional and of course a bit of glossy accent. I learn how to use it from Lil Bee's Boutique and her great creations. Thanks for reading and I will be back with more from Lil Bees Boutique.
Hugs.

Lucky

Hello everyone!

I am definitely lucky to have a wonderful friend at work who is a good listener, patient and willing to give advice. This is a card for her. Thank You!

I also got the opportunity to use chipboard and cover it as you can see with an unusual material...felt. Crazy! but very simple and easy.

Make sure that when you cover your chipboard piece it is a piece you can get your scissors in all the corners other wise it won't be as clean and smooth and your chipboard piece will end up in the trash.

I have used the Lil Bees Valentine's kit for the month f February. These were leftover from the designer paper from Western. Loved the colors of these.

Please give it a try (cover your chipboard) and let me know how it turns out.
Hugs!

Spring is Here

Hey everybody Spring is here and We are loving it!...well actually I am not sure Spring has started but it feels as if has.

Here is my entry for the fab Lil Bees blog  and this time I have focus on Chipboard. There are a number of thing you can do with Chipboard, from covering it with paper to cover with glossy accents. Here is my take of the Challenge.

For these cute boots I simply cover them with designer paper. I do not have the proper tools Like the basic grey ones to give the chipboard a proper finish in stead I used a regular file and carefully finished the small areas.

Chipboard letters are not hard to find. I have these for so long I have give them a good use. So here they are... the only thing I added to them was a green line with a thin green marker.

This was the easiest. This wheel barrel was inked, literally with Stazon jet black ink. Great matte finish. Love it! Probably my favorite.

On these tools you can see shiny and matte effects. I used ink pad to color the handles red and I used embossing powder for the rest of the tool. Love it too. Now that I see all of them this way it is hard for me to decide which board technique I like.

This is officially my fourth layout and I decided to use 8.5" x 11" size. for a few reasons. space reasons and also because I do not have a lot of my papers with me.

One last thing. I started to like doodling and the chevron design. There are a few designers out there using them and  I thought I would give them both a try and here are the results. I am glad that you were able to stop by and I hope you can find inspiration and new ideas of how to use chipboards. Thanks for stopping by.

Excuse the photographer...  I work during the day so I only had the night and lamp light to take these pictures. Take a look at the tiny cute little stamp on the next pic.

So what are you waiting for? keep hoping you are about to finish. I hope you enjoyed visiting the blogs of the designer's team and hope you are the winner of the yummy candy from Lil Bees' Boutique.

Lil Bees Design Team Creation

Good afternoon everybody! I hope you are doing just great. I have been busy been a mom and creating my first layout for Lil Bees's Design Team.  So Here it is...

For this lay out I use Hero Art and Stampin' Up stamps. I use SU inks. Embellishments from Western's pages as well as the paper and glossy accents.

I know.. this picture of us was taken looooong time ago, don't kill me I am just trying to catch up with my Scrap booking here.

I looooooove glossy accents, don't you?

I have to practice my handwriting. I have to admit that this one is not too bad.

Love the flower too...
I apologize these pictures are not the best. It's been raining here for the last two days and frankly I do not have a good camera or a set to take pictures. So bare with me as I will try to post new pictures of this layout.

Anyway, this is my entry for this week, I hope you guys continue having a restful weekend.
